A newly revealed character has taken the title of tallest woman in all of Street Fighter as Italian powerhouse Marisa shows off some ridiculously tough attacks in the game’s latest trailer.
Some of the more artistically inclined members of the fighting game community quickly began drawing Marisa, each praising the various details of her portrayal, from her towering size to her striking resemblance to the Sonic character Knuckles. We’ve collected a gallery of that art to share with you today.
Marissa is first seen in front of us brandishing a Spartan helmet as the camera zooms out to reveal that she is in a large coliseum. Her red hair frames her face as does the helmet, showing that she fights with the trained ferocity of a Spartan warrior.
Indeed, when we see her first real attack in the trailer, fellow newcomer Manon, who she absolutely dominates, grabs her, slams her face down into the ground with one arm behind her back, and then delivers a execution punch to his back. Basically a head burying Manon’s head in the ground.
Oh, Marissa is also seen casually sparring with a lion at one point. All of this really adds up to a unique dominance that we haven’t seen from the women of any franchise so far. Yes, Chun-Li has the title of “World’s Strongest Woman,” but…if Marissa is in the room, that should be defined by a metric other than just physical strength.
